Caramanducas are a true classic of Peruvian panaderías: small, buttery rolls with a hint of anise, denser than a fermented bread because the dough skips fermentation altogether. For a lot of Peruvians, they're the taste of childhood, the treat grabbed on the way home from school.

A soft, golden Peruvian sweet bread with a tender, compact crumb and a lightly sweet flavour. Rich and comforting, this larger caramanduca is perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea, enjoyed on its own or gently warmed.

Made using a rich, enriched dough and Tangzhong, which helps retain moisture and softness for longer. Finished with a sesame topping and baked fresh in small batches.
