Bread Care Guide

Our breads are made in small batches, without preservatives, and with techniques like long fermentation and tangzhong to improve texture and freshness. Because of this, how you store and reheat them really matters.

How to Store your Pancitos?

Keep your pancitos fresh and at their best.
Here are two simple ways to store them properly.

Short-term storage
(Room Temperature)

Same day consumption.

If you plan to eat the bread the same day:

  • Keep the bread in the paper bag it comes in.
  • Store at room temperature, away from heat and direct sunlight.
  • Paper bags are ideal for short-term use and allow the bread to breathe.

Up to 2 days
If you plan to store the bread overnight or up to 2 days:

  • Transfer the bread to a sealed bag (ziplock or airtight container).
  • Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place.
  • Do not refrigerate, as fridge temperatures dry out bread faster.

Freezing
(recommended for longer storage)

For storage beyond 2 days, freezing is the best option.

  • Transfer the bread to a sealed freezer-safe bag.
  • Freeze as soon as possible after purchase.
  • Breads can be frozen for up to 1 month without loss of quality.
  • Do not freeze bread in the paper bag.

How to Reheat your Pancitos?

The best way to enjoy your pancitos is slightly warm.
Here are two simple ways to bring them back to life.

In a Pan
(recommended)

  • Preheat a non-stick or cast-iron pan over medium-low heat.
  • Place the bread directly on the pan, without oil or butter.
  • Add a few drops of water around the bread and cover the pan to create steam.
  • Heat for 1–2 minutes per side, flipping once.

This method brings back a soft interior and a lightly crisp exterior.

In the Oven
A gentle method

  • Preheat the oven to 150 °C (300 °F).
  • Wrap the bread loosely in aluminum foil and place it in the oven.
  • Heat for 5–7 minutes, or until warmed through.
  • For a slightly crisp crust, remove the foil for the last 2 minutes.
